“Have You Ever Been Kicked Out Of A Foo Fighters Show?”
Posted by Tyler Mills in MusicConcert security is something that many rock and roll bands happen to take seriously. The Foo Fighters are no exception to this rule.
The security levels at concerts that I have gone to on a local basis have typically been satisfactory. I have seen bands leave the stage however in the best because they were not happy about the vibe that the crowd was going off or the fact that river bugs were getting in the way of their performance here in the Midwestern United States.
The Foo Fighters happen to be a very popular band that have maintained a solid level of popularity from the 1990’s. The band has not been afraid to take controversial stances in the past such as being critical of the show Glee. The band even started a small feud with the creator of Glee about the fact that a band can actually reject the idea of having their music used on the Fox show.
Dave Grohl was not afraid to kick a fan out at a recent London show where the fan appeared to be fighting with other spectators. Grohl actually took the time to make sure that the security personnel could actually identify the person who was involved with the fighting. Grohl took the time to shout a couple of expletitives at the guy for not being kind to other concert goers. On a personal note, I have never had a lead singer acknowledge people that I knew at a concert; the process may be quite intimidating.
The concert experience had to be something that people are going to remember. They are going to ask their friends “Remember that time when Dave Grohl kicked that dude out of the show?” Grohl may gain some fans among the non-violence movement in America, those fans may replace the fans that the band lost due to their Glee rift.
