Amazing Race Season 17 Episode 7 Preview

In last week’s episode of Amazing Race, the remaining teams continue their race around the world. Frontrunners Kat and Nat lose their lead when they all have to wait for the same train going to Stockholm. From Stockholm, teams had to fly to St. Petersburg, Russia.

When teams get to St. Petersburg, they encounter a Detour where teams had to choose between identifying three classical music pieces from numerous pianos and finding a clip from an Eisenstein film from a pile of celluloid. Most of the teams go for the music option but soon find out that it is a task much harder than it appears to be. A lot of the teams that chose the listening detour eventually switch to the film detour.

After completing the Detour, teams had to do a Road Block where one of them had to dress like a babushka, collect some supplies and plant a row of potatoes the way they are taught. Michael and Kevin get an early lead and are quickly on their way to the Pit Stop. They end up getting a bit lost on the way and Jill and Thomas end up checking in first at the Pit Stop. Nick and Vicki end up last after switching Detours twice. Lucky for them, it’s a non-elimination leg!

In the upcoming episode, teams depart from St. Isaac’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Nick and Vicky will have to face a Speed Bump in the next leg.
