The Baltimore Ravens are looking confident regarding their upcoming game with the Buffalo Bills despite the loss that they suffered last week.
The Baltimore Ravens lost against New England from their game last week with a score of 4-2. Though that is the case, the Ravens believe that this game would help them improve their position in the series. Joe Flanco, the quarterback for the Ravens said the team had to move on from last week’s incident and added that the Ravens will grow from the loss thus improving in the weeks to come. John Jarbaugh, the coach for the Ravens is planning a run-heavy attack with Ray Rice who only produced the three first downs over the last 24 minutes. The coach was also quoted stating “You do get disappointed with the fact that we had an opportunity to go up (to New England) and put ourselves in real good position for a lot of long-term things. But we do have the big picture in mind.We need to grow and learn to attack a little bit better. Obviously we could have gone down field more.”
For the case of the Buffalo Bills, the team will be focusing on their defense in this upcoming game. Chan Gailey, the coach for Buffalo Bills said that the team will switch from a 3-4 scheme to a 4-3 scheme. This is in the hopes of resurrecting their reputation as the NFL-worst rush defense which amounts to 182.4 years per game. The first 4-3 scheme implemented will be first tested in stopping Rice who has rushed for 451 yards. Coach Gailey explained his reason in changing strategy stating that “We felt like we need to get some bigger people on the field to help us in that respect. So, to be honest with you, it’s not a shift of philosophy. It’s a shift in necessity.” Lee Evans, the receiver for the Bills commented on their main focus which is to win and to get their confidence back as a team.
