Negative reactions still brew as the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico remains far from being remedied, but help continues to pour in just the same.
Earlier reports stated that Kevin Costner has put forth the biggest effort toward the spill cleanup, having invested in 300 Ocean Therapy machines. The machine is designed to separate oil from water, leaving the latter 97 percent clean, it works more like a big vacuum that sucks up polluted water.
Now, even more celebrities are involved, in their own little ways. One of which is by boycotting fuel sold by BP on their summer tours.
A number of big names have agreed to shun BP fuel on their tour buses. Reports have it that Jonathan Davis has tried to get his fellows to boycott the purchase of the fuel from the company that poisoned the Mexican gulf, and stop patronizing any of its affiliates. The Korn rocker claimed he has already Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys, and the Creed on his side in this endeavor.
Another way is by appearing on CNN’s two-hour telethon Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help which will be hosted by Larry King. Justin Bieber, Ryan Seacrest, Cameron Diaz, and Lenny Kravitz are all set to attend the telethon on Monday. A month earlier, Kravitz participated in the New Orleans fundraising concert Gulf Aid, along with John Legend, Mos Def, and others, which allegedly raised $350,000 for wetlands restoration and fishing families.
Although millions of gallons of oil have gushed off the coast of Louisiana due to an oil rig explosion since April, with the aid pouring in, chances are high for the salvation of the Gulf.
