Bill Clinton “Slick” Enough For Dancing With The Stars?

Some very famous people have turned down Dancing with the Stars in the past. Stone Cold Steve Austin is the first name that comes to mind when I think about very famous people who have reportedly turned down the show. The former professional wrestler would probably rather focus on his career in action movies as opposed to focusing on how to perfect his tango.

Comedian, talk show host and best selling author Chelsea Handler has said that she turned down Dancing with the Stars in the past. I can understand why Handler would do that, she makes her living making fun of these kind of shows and she may lose some credibility by going on a hit show like Dancing with the Stars.

Former President Bill Clinton now says that he was forced to turn down the show as well, partially due to his very busy schedule. Dancing with the Stars certainly pays their participants very well, but you also have to wonder whether the appearances are lucrative enough for a highly compensated public speaker like Bill Clinton.

This isn’t the first time we have heard of Bill Clinton exploring the world of arts and entertainment in his post presidency. There were rumors for quite a while that he was considering getting involved in film and comic projects with Stan Lee. Bill Clinton has also given speeches to several production companies in and around Los Angeles over the ten years since he has left the White House.

The hope is that people within the production companies will be motivated to go out there and do better work. Clinton also may have a way of making people feel better about their future. The only real question left to ask here is whether we would have been inspired by President Clinton’s dance moves on the ABC program. This is a question that we simply may never know the answer to.
