Did Kim Delaney Give A Drunken Speech?

Posted by Tyler Mills in Television

Agnes Nixon was very sad about the end of the television version of All My Children. She was quite emotional during an appearance on the show “The View” on Friday. Agnes Nixon did speak highly of Susan Lucci and how much she loved working on the show for over forty one years. Susan Lucci was a guest host on The View on Friday as they talked about some of the most memorable moments in the history of All My Children. Agnes Nixon seemed very upset with the fact that Kim Delaney who left the show in the 1980’s in order to pursue other projects.

Kim Delaney was an actress who likely did want some extra money in order to stay on a show like All My Children. Delaney seemed to be rather shifty about the exact reasons why she left the show. She seemed to hint that it was not about money. There have been rumors about Kim Delaney having a drinking problem, but nothing has ever officially been confirmed about that. Delaney was picked up for a DUI in the past. From a personal perspective I want to make it clear that a DUI is nothing to laugh about and that people should attempt to get the help that they need if they do have a problem with alcohol.
The fact that Delaney was escorted from the stage while semi- promoting a show like Army Wives is disappointing and you have to wonder whether her drinking problem would have created a certain amount of controversy on the set of All My Children.

Delaney was giving a speech at the Liberty Medal Award Ceremony when she started rambling about the fact that she did not actually have to go to military funerals and that Army Wives was just a television show.

I would hope that Kim Delaney is able to remain on the show Army Wives, but she has been written off CSI Miami before as well.

It’s really sad when things like this happen to people; maybe the pressure of fame and/or continuing success gets to some before it gets to others.
