Lady Gaga to be godmother to David Furnish and Elton John’s son

Film producer David Furnish has confirmed recently that Lady Gaga will serve as one of the godparents of Zachary, his two-month-old baby boy with singer Elton John.

When asked about this news about the ‘Born This Way’ singer playing an important role in the life of their son in an interview by Canadian website macleans.ca, Furnish answered, “We haven’t publicly confirmed that yet but your sources are very good!”

He preferred, however, not to further say anything about it as they intend to release a statement regarding Zachary’s godparents soon.

Furnish also commended the singer for composing Born This Way, which he called a “gay anthem”.

“She’s all about inclusiveness and tolerance. She believes that you can be whoever you want to be and that we don’t have to live in a world of conformity and that we can all benefit from individuality.

“That’s the best message in the world. The freedom to be who you are, do what you want and love who you want to love.”

The couple’s child Zachary was born on Christmas Day last year via a surrogate mother.

Furnish added that they hope Zachary grows up happy, and “able to do what he wants to do in life and has the freedom to take whatever path.”
