Lindsay Lohan Stalker Former Britney Spears’ Confidant?

Lindsay Lohan has apparently been receiving disturbing voice mails and text messages from someone who says he is watching her.

TMZ says that Lindsay’s camp feels the stalker is Sam Lufti, a close confidant to Britney Spears during her problematic days just prior to her 5051 psychiatric confinement in January 2008.

Lindsay, meanwhile, is undergoing treatment for addiction to prescription drugs at Betty Ford Clinic and is now being prepared for her release early next month. Worried about the text messages, the staff at Betty Ford has increased security measures and they are transferring Lindsay to a more secure place. Lindsay’s team has also warned Lufti not to bother the recovering star.

Strangely, Sam Lufti has apparently been in contact with Lindsay’s dad Michael. One text message signed by Mike, misleading to Mike at TMZ, told Lindsay to stay away from her mom Dina. The phone number of the text was that of Sam Lufti.

Sam Lufti’s connection with Britney was stopped when she was put under a conservatorship, which acquired a restraining order against him. The staff believed Lufti was responsible for Britney’s downward spiral and had obtained the drugs for her.

When asked by TMZ, Lufti denied involvement with the text messages that Lindsay has received. He said Lindsay has gotten in touch with him in the past, a statement challenged by Linday’s team. Lufti insists that the people who represent Lindsay also represented Britney and they were out to get him. Meanwhile, Linday’s team insists that she does not know Lufti.
