Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers Preview
Posted by M. Weekley II in Sports
The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers is an interesting one despite the fact both teams are facing different issues on and off the playing field.
In the case of the Green Bay Packers, they need to win this game and avoid losing for a third time in order to maintain their standing in the series. The Packers also had a lot of injuries amounting to a total of 8 injuries. Despite that, the team is hoping that some of these players are now healed and could contribute to the game ahead especially in the case of Al Harris (cornerback who injured his left knee), Atari Bigby (safety and injured his left ankle), and Clay Matthews (linebacker and had a left hamstring injury). Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Packers mentioned that the team is counting on the return of those injured in players as they need to be in full force with no excuses.
The Minnesota Vikings on the other hand are also experiencing some issues especially with their player, Brett Favre. Favre, a three-time league MVP met with an NFL official last Wednesday to answer allegations against him that the supposedly sent suggestive messages and lewd photos two years ago for a woman who worked for the New York Jets. Favre refused to comment on this issue insisting that his main concern now is defeating the Green Bay Packers. If compared to last year’ game, Favre had no problems defeating the Green Bay Packers having obtained a throw of 515 yards, seven touchdowns and no interventions in the past two Minnesota victories. This year seems to be a tough one for Favre as he already had seven interception ever since he started.
