Miss Universe 2010 Favorites – Miss Philippines and Miss Ireland are Close Rivals

The Miss Universe 2010 Favorites come from two interesting sources – one from Miss Universe Organization poll, and the other comes from an online odds maker Paddy Power. The MUO poll concluded recently and showed that Venus Raj from the Philippines will come in as a fan favorite in this year’s pageant. But the dark horse in the pageant is Miss Ireland Rozanna Purcell who didn’t even make it to the Top 15 fan favorites. Even though she failed to impress the fans, an online oddsmaker gave her a 9/2 chances of winning as opposed to Miss Philippines’ 6/2. Miss Venezuela is not far behind as she ranked second in the poll.

If Venezuela manages to win again, they will be the first country to win three consecutive times.

Other early favorites included Bolivia, Jamaica, and Guatemela. Two other Asian beauties from Thailand and Indonesia also made it to the top fifteen. Miss USA Rima Fakih will automatically make it to the semi-finals since the Miss Universe 2010 host country is the USA. Miss USA’s chance of winning the pageant maybe dim because of the controversial pole dancing pictures that were leaked on the internet.

The judges have already chosen the Top 15 candidates and it will be announced tonight as the event goes live on NBC 9 PM ET. The winner of Miss Universe 2010 will replace Stefania Fernandez and enjoy a glamorous year with the organization.
