Naomi Watts undergoes intense military training for her latest movie

Naomi Watts is currently working on her new movie with Sean Penn that requires her to undergo intense and training and maximum pain tolerance.

The 42-year-old actress was sent to a boot camp in preparation for her role in movie “Fair Game” as a real-life former undercover CIA agent named Valeria Plame.

“The director, Doug Liman sent me off to boot camp. He thought it was important I had the same tough exterior in the movie as Valerie, and that I looked too soft and maternal.”

The actress, mother of two sons named Sacha and Kai with long-term partner Liev Schreiber, admitted the preparations are tough, especially because she’d had just a baby (Kai) on December 13. She read the script on December 28 and started filming in February.

Going back to business shortly upon giving birth did not do Naomi any good — she confessed she doesn’t think she was really up to such an intensive physical
project.

She added that when director Doug was walking out of the boot camp, “they kicked me in the shins and threw me to the ground. When I went, ‘Ow’, they said, ‘Don’t say that again unless you need to go to the hospital”.

“I did paramilitary training and I was allowed to have Kai every few hours to feed him. But otherwise, I couldn’t have anyone else there.”
