Reports showed that Oprah Winfrey didn’t tamper votes in any way on her reality television contest Your OWN Show, a search for the next TV star, but spam blogs did spread the rumor. The Oprah Winfrey Network is conducting investigations regarding the allegations.
The vote-rigging controversy spread earlier this week, with rumors circulating over the net claiming that the network fixed the votes in favor of a certain schoolteacher named Phyllis Tucker-Wicks, slighting a disabled contestant named Zach Anner. However, the latter disproved any reports suggesting such saying that, “This is Oprah — she helps people for a living… To think people are saying she’s rigged the voting against me doesn’t compute for me. It’s not what I believe.”
OWN invited people to vote online to determine who deserved their own reality show. The top five who gets the highest votes for the video submissions will fly to Hollywood to meet with producers, and at least one will be chosen for their own reality series.
The network had launched an investigation Thursday after several websites pointed out an unusual surge in votes for Tucker-Wicks. A spokeswoman for OWN said in a statement to ABCNews.com, “The online voting rules for the ‘Your OWN Show’ video submission competition were carefully crafted to be fair to everyone. Any allegations of impropriety will be investigated and the appropriate actions taken to keep the process unbiased.”
Every ones knows that 4chan and reddit set this bullshit up. You can‘t bullshit a bullshita. Zach votes were rig after he was not call back after the contest in Dallas. Zach comes home sad because no one from Oprah call him back. Ok then 4chan and riddict get involved with Zach online video. Zach had 4800 votes a Saturday nite not even in the top 100 video and jump to 2mills overnite. Guess who help 4chan and riddit. Then John Myers jumps on the band wagon. Ok a couple of weeks later Zach all over the fake internet news from riddict and 4chan. A week later people were not voting a lot for Zach and his lead he was losing, So Riddit and 4chan put out that the voting were rig and blame Oprah of being prejudice so everyone would come to his aide with a lot of votes. I seen this from the beginning and a lot of people have also. ZACH WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER ON THE CARTOON NETWORK BECAUSE ALL I SEE IS YOU GUYS LAUGHING AT HIM.What network is will to work with him now after calling Oprah prejudice and you fans are puting the other candidates down.Ultimately, if a video is no good, and has the most votes… it would be kind of embarrassing to win I would think.
