Oprah Winfrey’s 300 U.S. audience arrived in Australia on Tuesday for the talk show queen’s ultimate giveaway.

“Oprah’s Ultimate Australian Adventure” is expected to cover every corner of the land Down Under, from the Great Barrier Reef to the east, to the Outback in the center, and to the crocodile-infested rainforests of northern Oz.

This opportunity for an eight-day journey across Australia was given to hand-picked audience of “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, composed of some people the program called its most loyal viewers over the years.

However, the lucky audience members, ranging from 18 to 75 years of age, had no idea where exactly they’re heading when they set foot in the Sydney airport. They were then taken to a hotel for briefing through a bus.

“It’s an unbelievable experience, and I just want to soak in every bit of it,” said Jocelyn Kelley, from Boston, who was traveling with her mother. “To be in that audience, to be a part of something so big, is just amazing.”

In a statement, Federal Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson said, “Oprah is a household name, not just in the United States but in the 145 countries where the show is broadcast.”

“That Oprah has chosen Australia as her Ultimate Adventure destination sends a powerful message to her millions of fans around the world.”

Officials expect millions of dollars of tourism advertising Oprah’s show will bring.
