RIP Harry Morgan: A Few Brief Thoughts On His Work

Posted by Tyler Mills in Television

The death of acclaimed actor Harry Morgan probably should remind us of how little many of us actually know about the Korean War. There were a lot of young, everyday people who spent time in Korea like Radar O’Reilly. Ottumwa, Iowa Is a great place to live and a lot of good hearted people come from Ottumwa. Harry Morgan’s death could also remind us of how relevant Dan Akroyd was at one point and how funny Dan Akroyd was at one point. Dan Akroyd was funny and there was something very complicated about the Korean War.

Morgan was an actor who spent well over fifty years in the business. Harry Morgan admitted that he truly struggled when he first came to Hollywood, many people out there are going to assume that Morgan had a really easy time when he was rolling into Hollywood, but it took time for people to get ready for Hollywood. Hollywood is a great city, but many good actors have give up on their acting careers before they probably should have. Harry Morgan was someone who was able to take the heat. Morgan spent time working in the movies in the 1990’s, one of his last films was in 1999.
There are many people out there who would not have put up with the same kind of stress and trouble that Harry Morgan dealt with when first getting into Hollywood. The Barefoot Executive was a film that stars John Ritter and Kurt Russell. John Ritter was a great young actor at the time and Kurt Russell is a great actor that so many people tend to respect.
Morgan had a presence on screen, he was able to be stern and yet caring to people. People like Mike Farrell spoke about Morgan in very glowing term after he heard about his death, I really wanted to add more to this piece about Harry Morgan, but I thought I would mainly just draw criticism for leaving something out.
