The Downfall of the Band Oasis
Posted by Tyler Mills in Music
The band Oasis had a lot of success as a band in the 1990’s and the early 2000s. The bad had an absolutely mega hit with the song “Wonderwall” which took its title from a George Harrison album. Liam and Noel Gallagher have not only been known for their musical hits, but also their own physical altercations with one another. Oasis has been around since 1993 and many people knew that the fighting between the brothers would likely lead to the band’s downfall, The pair have accused each other of stealing music from one another or changing song lyrics. The two brothers are also very disparaging towards each other when it comes to their overall musical talents.
The fact that Liam Gallagher has had a side project with majority of Oasis called Beady Eyes since 2009 called Beady Eyes gives off the impression that the original Oasis lineup is not likely to get back together anytime soon. Noel Gallagher also has his own side project, but it does not contain key members of Oasis like Andy Bell.
The band Beady Eyes has made news by holding charitable events to raise money in order to help Japan recover from the devastation of the nuclear disaster in that nation. A lot of bands have been covering the Beatles song “Across the Universe” in recent years and Beady Eyes played this at their fundraiser.
Liam has now dropped his lawsuit against Noel. Noel had claimed that Liam was hung over before a gig at a festival. Liam said he had originally filed the lawsuit last week because he was tired of Noel questioning his professionalism. The High Flying Birds is the name of Noel Gallagher’s side project, but the truth of the matter is that his group may not be very well known. Liam and the other former members of Oasis did not even attend Noel’s wedding in 2011.
